Here at Afterburner. We’re always looking for ways to push ourselves to the next level. To improve our craft. So when Chuck suggested that we start doing in car interviews at all the racing events we go to, we jumped on it. Thus, “Helmet to Helmet” was born.

Playing off the term “face to face” we thought it would only be fitting to conduct interviews of people in the automotive culture, or just interesting people in general….from the seat of a race car.

So for the first episode of this new series. We teamed up with the amazing staff at BridgeMoto. If you don’t know who they are let me give you a brief rundown. BridgeMoto is a company that manufactures and sells custom racing safety equipment. Everything from custom racing suits, to driving shoes, mechanics equipment and even stuff for your car like seats and harnesses.

So after we met them at Gridlife South and talked shop with them for a little while. We asked their employee Rachel if she wanted to ride along with Chuck and participate in a little video interview. After she agreed, we strapped her into Chucks 2006 Subaru WRX STI track car, rolled the cameras, and began one of the best videos we’ve made to date.

Sitting on the grid for a mid-afternoon Instructor/Advanced group track session. Rachel explained what BridgeMoto was all about, amidst the likes of a 700hp Corvette, an R35 GTR, a new ACR Viper, and a 993 Porsche 911. After pleasantries were exchanged, Chuck fired up the Subaru and headed out to dogfight all comers out on track. Much to Rachel’s terror/amusement.

We must say, the staff at BridgeMoto have been nothing but pleasant and helpful since we first ran into them Friday night in the paddock at Road Atlanta. After looking over their equipment, they really do take pride in their products and wan’t to help improve the safety of professional and grassroots racers alike.

So, without further ado. Here’s the very first episode of “Helmet to Helmet”. Enjoy!
